{"id":387,"date":"2023-01-24T13:50:40","date_gmt":"2023-01-24T13:50:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/testsite.condocontrol.com\/Hideawayhills2\/?page_id=387"},"modified":"2023-01-24T14:22:44","modified_gmt":"2023-01-24T14:22:44","slug":"recycling","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.hideawayhillsclub.com\/index.php\/recycling\/","title":{"rendered":"Recycling"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>RECYCLING INFO Update as of February 2019<\/strong> <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hideawayhillsclub.com\/_files\/ugd\/a7c5ec_aafcac77c7024c55a61a96c4b9a7f1c6.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>.pdf version<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hide-A-Way Hill currently has two pickups per week (Monday and Thursday). &nbsp;Athens-Hocking Recycling is unable to schedule any additional pickups during the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To help maximize space, please flatten cardboard boxes before putting them in the recycling bins.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Athens-Hocking Recycling&nbsp;<strong>does not accept the following due to contamination issues<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Styrofoam<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electronic Waste &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Food Waste<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Books<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lightbulbs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CDs and DVDs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Batteries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chemicals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Large bulky plastic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paint<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scrap metal, such as fencing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mirrors and window glass<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plastic grocery bags, bread bags or sandwich bags<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ceramics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cookware<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hangers or wires<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shrink wrap<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Toys<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Other recycling tips:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Place all recycling in container loosely (DO NOT BAG RECYCLING)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Do not place half-empty jars or pizza leftovers in the box; Rinse\/Clean all recycling \u2013 it does not have to be completely clean, but at least rinsed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Items smaller than a business card cannot be sorted and should go into the trash.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cardboard, aluminum cans, aluminum foil, steel cans and plastic bottles are worth the extra effort it sometimes takes to recycle them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Medical waste is NOT recyclable and is dangerous when placed in mixed recycling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Batteries, lightbulbs, electronics, books and scrap metal should NOT be placed with the mixed recycling.&nbsp; They can be taken to the Center for Hard to Recycle Materials at 9009 Sand Ridge Road at Route 13 outside of Logan.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>When in doubt, throw it out<\/strong>!<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hideawayhillsclub.com\/_files\/ugd\/a7c5ec_aafcac77c7024c55a61a96c4b9a7f1c6.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:50%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/a7c5ec_ac674e7b762f4ea6885b74b9e51ac8fa~mv2.jpg\/v1\/fill\/w_417,h_560,al_c,q_80,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_auto\/a7c5ec_ac674e7b762f4ea6885b74b9e51ac8fa~mv2.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:50%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/a7c5ec_aa9792234ee04758bbc999894f2d7120~mv2.jpg\/v1\/fill\/w_501,h_672,al_c,q_80,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_auto\/a7c5ec_aa9792234ee04758bbc999894f2d7120~mv2.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RECYCLING INFO Update as of February 2019 .pdf version Hide-A-Way Hill currently has two pickups per week (Monday and Thursday). &nbsp;Athens-Hocking Recycling is unable to schedule any additional pickups during the week.
