Hide-A-Way Hills is one of the safest communities in the area and we are fortunate to have a 24-hour security force. This capable group of staff secure our entrances, patrol the community, and ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment in which to live. A security officer is always on duty at our front gate.
However, these factors don’t mean that members should take that safe atmosphere for granted.
Instead, members are encouraged to be proactive in discouraging thefts or other similar problems which can occur in any neighborhood. Don’t make it easy for someone to walk or drive off with something that does not belong to them. Protect your possessions by just taking a few simple steps.
For example:
- Don’t leave items of value unlocked or out in plain sight.
- When you park your car, take your keys with you; don’t leave keys in the car.
- Be a good neighbor and keep an eye on your neighbors’ houses.
- Report any suspicious activity to HAH Security.
- Advise security if you are going to be away from your home for any length of time.
- Close your garage door when you leave your house even if you are just driving to the mailbox and back.
- Lock your doors when you are away from your house.
Remember: If it’s inconvenient for thieves to take something of yours they will go somewhere else where it is more convenient.
